"4th" Tuesday Talks - Coming Soon

The "4th Tuesday Moot" is an organised event with a theme and normally a speaker. It's held in the function  room of the Cricketers Inn (AKA Club Riga). Ask at the Bar & they'll tell you how to get in.  There's quite a few "dates for your diary" in the list below.  We're filling them up as fast as we can (honest) - but remember that we have lives to live - so if you've got any suggestions or nominations for talks to fill the holes, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Lion & we'll take it for there - we aim to please :-)
Tuesday 22nd September 2009 - Drumming Circle - Chris Baron - £1.00 to members, £2.00 to non-members.  Sam of Leaping Hare and the Witham women's circle fame normally comes along to run our yearly drumming circle, however at short notice she's had to jet off to foreign lands!  Luckily, we have another star drumming master (or whatever you call these folks) in the local area and Chris Baron (click here for Chris's website) has agreed - as normal for the Lion's do's these days, at short notice - to run the Circle. You may know Chris from the papers :-) Remember the Hang Drum? Please don't forget to bring your own drum please!!  There may be a spare to two around, but don't count on it!
Tuesday 27th October 2009 - "Something Celtic" - Robin Herne - £1.00 to members, £2.00 to non members - Who were the ancient Druids, and can one be a Druid in the 21st century? Reconnecting to ancient Gods and ancient peoples ~ can it be done, and if so how? Celtic polytheism then and now.
Tuesday 24th November 2009 - "Something from Karen" - Karen has said she'll do a talk for the lion in November, I'll be asking her for details as soon as is polite, hey! I only got her to agree to do a talk last Tuesday!  Now I'd tell you what the subject is right now, but I'm afraid I've been really organised and managed to loose the Text :-(
There's no 4th Tuesday Moot in December, Paganlion stands this down -  cos people get so busy!  Instead we through our Yule Bash!  As soon as we've got more details, you'll see them here.

Tuesday 23rd March 2010 - Seidr Magic - Terry Smith - £1.00 to members, £2.00 to non members. Seidr is a form of trance work within Heathenry, it has many interpretations in todays world, not all of these are historically accurate. The talk explores the history and looks at the the application and discipline of this ancient skill in todays world.  Terry had to cancel back in August 2009 and he's been good enough to say that he will return this month to give us this much awaited talk!
