Rituals - Kindly
Organised by Pagans from Equinox
Equinox has a great
community of Pagan, Pagan Friendly & Non Pagan people associated with
it. The Pagan regulars at the shop are being kind enough to offer
to run Open Rituals in Southend when the Pagan Lion is holding it's
rituals elsewhere (Highwater farm, Round farm e.t.c)! These ritual
will not be on the same day as the Pagan Lion's rituals & you may well
find that some of the die hards from the Lion end up going to both!!
The Pagans from
Equinox have made it clear though that they ARE NOT setting up an
alternate group to the Pagan Lion - their open ritual activities are an
another option & location to those run by the Lion. They DO NOT
intend these to replace that which the Lion puts on - they are intended
to compliment & enhance!
The reason that
we're doing this is that there's a recognition that not everyone can get
transport to get to these places outside Southend. There's only so
much you can do with car pooling & offers of lifts! There are also
people that prefer to stay on their "home ground" from a spiritual sense
when they celebrate. Additional, we all know that it takes a lot
of bravery for some new comers to travel to strange locations to
celebrate with people they have never met before!
As far as we can
see at this point, most of these "alternate" open rituals will be on
Chalkwell Beach. It's easy to get to by car. bus, taxi & rail.
It's easy to organise with the Coast Guard. It's a simple matter
for the less confident new comer to watch from afar & build up the
confidence to approach the group. Lastly, a lot of people have
fond memories of Chalkwell Beach & enjoy going there! |
