Leaping Hare (Colchester) is the Annual Spring Conference of the East Anglian District of the Pagan Federation & the Colchester Pagan Network.  It's a joint event organised by a team of volunteers drawn from both groups! In 2009 Leaping Hare will be 17 Years old!

Leaping Hare 2009 will be 28th March 2009 at at 9am to 5.30pm.  It is organised by volunteers from PF east Anglia and the Colchester Pagan Network at Highwoods Community Centre, just off the A12 at Colchester.  Speakers include: Nick Ford, Roman Augury; Chris Hughes, Celtic Druidry; Christina Kieman, Commonsense in Occultism; Tine Smith, The God Tiw. Story Telling with Robin Herne and Clan Ogma, Mumming, Tarot, runes, workshops, craftwork and book stalls all help make this a friendly and informative day.  Tickets £6 in advance, £7.50 on the door (cheques made payable to Colchester Pagan network) from Di Firmin, 11 Rowan Close, Stanway, Colchester CO3 OQJ.

The 2008 conference was a big success, with many comments about the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and interesting talks.  There was standing room only for Dr Jenny Blain's Honouring the Ancient Dead.  Robin Herne's storytelling, and the Leigh Mummers provided light relief, and the workshops and stalls were well patronised.  As a result, the organisers were able to make donations to good causes, including PF east Anglia and Wildlives, their local wildlife rescue centre.  They also pledges £150 to the Woodland Trust's Elmstead (Essex) woodland project.
